Unmake Revenue Report - July 2022

I usually write my revenue reports on Twitter and it gets a fair amount of attention. So I thought, why not write blog posts out of these reports?

First of all, let me explain why I share my revenue.

As a profitable Indie Maker, I feel like I have a responsibility to the people who follow my journey.

The responsibility to be honest to them. I don't want people to believe that the indie way is always easy and lucrative. But I also don't want them to think that creating profitable products is something reserved for a lucky few.

That's why I've always put transparency at the heart of Unmake's creation process.

Now without further ado, let's get down to business

NB: this revenues are only from my indie maker activities, they don't include my revenue generated by my client work.

As you can see, the overall revenue growth (+28% over June) is mainly due to the successful launch of Superflow ($2,607 generated in July).

Here are my main challenges for the months to come:

  • Stabilize Superflow's revenue. Of course keeping the momentum of the launch won't be easy and I expect a drop in revenue as a large part of the sales made this month were one-time payment. I'll have to focus on growing the recurring revenue with a goal of $1500 MRR at the end of the year (vs. $400 MRR now)
  • Grow SaaSFrame with the launch of a V2 in August and the introduction of a monthly membership - once again to stabilize my revenue.
  • Launch 2 new products, more on that soon...
